PLEASE, SWEET JESUS,
COULD YOU OPEN THAT DOOR,
THE ONE I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR.
JUST A GLIMPSE
OF THE BRIGHT SUNSHINE
ESCAPING INTO THE DARKNESS OUT SIDE.
I FEEL AS IF
I'VE BEEN WALKING IN YOUR PATH.
AND I HONESTLY ADMIT,
I HAVE SLIPPED UP
TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT.
BUT YOU, GOD'S SON, SACRIFICED YOUR LIFE;
CRIMSON BLOOD FLOWING FREELY,
FORGIVING ME MY SINS EVEN BEFORE I WAS BORN.
YOU KNEW I WOULD BE HERE RIGHT NOW,
SITTING IN MY BED,
TRYING TO OPEN MY HEART
TO THOSE IN DISTRESS OR HURT.
IF, LIKE ME, YOUR FAMILY
HAS REJECTED YOU 'CUZ YOU REFUSE TO BE A PART
OF THIS MARCH TOWARDS BOREDOM,
MAKE A STAND FOR JESUS,
AND YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN.
ROMANS 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
