Prosperity (UPDATED WITH SCRIPTURE)

I see Christians on TV

praying for prosperity

and I wonder if

they ever shift their focus

and pray for His will in their lives

while they are  fighting their own fight.

Please don't get me wrong,

because I know

that Jesus wants more for us

than we could ever dream.

But that doesn't necessarily mean

that God wants us to be rich in money.

There are many other things in this world

that mean more to Him than riches and our own glory.

God wants us to be loved,

but He wants us to stay humble

so that those that don't know Him can see

His glory instead.

After all, whatever life we have led

won't matter when we are dead.

Money doesn't mean anything

without faith in the King of Kings.

Our riches lie in heaven,

they are waiting for us there.

And that's where our focus should be

instead of looking for prosperity on TV.

ROMANS 10:11

EVERYONE WHO TRUSTS IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.
