of feeling trapped
in this worn out old body
that's done it's job pretty well.
but now i think it's time to rest,
then Jesus says, "No, Sherrie, the road is still before you,
and I know you know I know best."
sigh
here i lie
just wanting to rest.
but i guess this test we call this life
is not yet over,
still have not made it
to the finish line.
there is more to do,
more lost souls to help.
more love to give out,
more seeds to plant,
more joy to shout,
more hurts to feel,
more souls to heal,
more trials,
more fires,
more storms.
but I know that just one day in Heaven
I will have forgotten it all.
